Michelle's SWEET Birthday Blog Hop

Hey, Y'all.....welcome to Michelle's SWEET Birthday Blog Hop! I am so happy to be a part of her birthday celebration for the 2nd year in a row! You should have come here from Ruthie's Blog. This was a little surprise hop put together by Candace at Paper Crafts by Candace if you just happened across my blog today and want to follow along from the beginning....go back to there.

This is a fun little hop.....You will hop along with some of Michelle's crafty friends as we all wish her a happy birthday, leave a comment on each blog and then end up at the Jaded Blossom blog to wish Michelle a Happy Birthday! Jaded Blossom is giving away a Sweet Celebrations and Gumball stamp set to two lucky people who comment on all the blogs by Monday 8 am PST. So, on to my birthday wish for Michelle! This is definitely a SWEET one.....Michelle doesn't like coffee, but she loves Java Detour drinks....she took me there a couple of times when I visited her last fall. What she ordered for me was the SWEETEST drink I have ever had! Knowing how much she loves it, I got some help from our friend Abby to get her a gift certificate, so I could give her a super SWEET gift!

Since Michelle taught me to weld on my Gypsy, I thought what better tribute than a shape card....check it out.....

I used my Love you a Latte cartridge to make the card....I welded the two cup images together at the bottom, then I tweaked around the gift card hold from Cindy Loo to make the cuts to hold the gift card. I added some extra fun elements with 3 of my Jaded Blossom Sets.....the Happy Birthday to You round and the Happy Birthday sentiment are from the Make a Wish set, the Sweet Treats for You sentiment is from Sweet Celebration and the clever little lipstick stain is from Funny Mail. Hopefully she gets this in today's mail! Happy Birthday, Michelle!!!

Blog Candy

So, another tribute to Michelle....the first time I met her in person she came to attend the Great American Scrapbook Convention with me in Arlington, TX....Sadly, she isn't coming this year, but I'm still going to hit it.....My blog candy is a little prize package of goodies that I pick up at the convention.
