Valentine's Day Coloring Book

Hi, All -
I shock myself at times....I have been wanting to attempt a coloring book by using my Cricut and the marker sets I got a year and half ago....Well, I actually did it! I made a coloring book for my nephew with some of his favorite things for Valentine's Day. I designed it on the Cricut Craft Room.  Had the "cuts" drawn on plain white cardstock and cut the pages to 4" x 6".  Next, I scored them at 1/4 inch for easy opening of the book when bound.  Lastly, I used my Your Story to bind the cover and the pages and added a little vinyl for the cover.

Hubby got a little home made goodness today, too!  I gave him this shape card that I made using Jaded Blossom Stamps and Lovestruck 2010 cartridge.  My first ever shape card.

Happy Valentine's Day - mailboxes

Hi, All -
I finally did a project that was in my head in the same year I thought to do it!!!!  I wanted to decorate the little Target mailboxes for my team at work for Valentine's Day.  So, I did!  I made 17 of them and put a box of conversation hearts in them.

Check it out.....

Used vinyl from VinylEase and several different Cricut Cartridges including Calligraphy and Lovestruck.

Happy 40th Birthday! What a party

Hi, Everyone....I wanted to share some of the amazing items from my 40th Birthday Party.  My hubby, mom and friend, Michelle, at www.scrappinwithmybug.com, put together some truly amazing and memorable items for my b-day in December.  My husband isn't the crafty sort, but he really wanted me to have the best b-day imaginable, so he asked me what I wanted.  And, that was to have my closest peeps in one place to celebrate.  I chose Mattitos Mexican for brunch the Sunday after my birthday.  That was my only contribution to the Fiesta planning....from there he coordinated with the rest of the party planning committee to pull of the yummiest and funnest party I could ever imagine.

I love skulls and Michelle designed this beautifil invite for the party....this established a Day of the Dead theme....Hubby came up with the wording inside...."Stefani is finally forty.  Join us for a 40 is Fabulous Fiesta."

My mom has never been one to let a theme go unexplored so she got right to work gathering and creating.

She found these skull pinatas, they came to her white and she decorated all
6 of them to have different personalities.  They became the center pieces and were topped
with skull lolipops as party favors
Michelle cut the skull Gracias heads to match the invites and go on the back of the lollipops.

Mom located some AWESOME tissue banners and
customized them with different phrases by hand.

Michelle created some custom Stefani banner's to match the theme
and made some cupcake boxes for each cupcake.

Mom made a shrine board with pictures and momentos from my life so far.

And for the topper of it all - mom customized this tiny sumbrero for me to wear with skulls and 40.

It was a fabulous party and I really enjoyed all the festive creations!
I was and am truly touched by all the efforts that were put into making this such a
succesful event.  I am also still overwhelmed by all the love I felt from
my family and friends during this milestone occasion.  Thank you, everyone!

Raven's Birthday Halloween Hop - October 28th - 31st

Hi, all and Happy Birthday Raven!  What a fun time of year to have a birthday!  I'm so excited Raven invited me to participate in this hop.

If you are joining me from Theresa's http://www.thescrapbookingqueen.com/
blog you are in the right place!  If you would like to start from the beginning (and you really should)....go to Raven's www.love4stamps.blogspot.com   blog by pressing her name.
I recently got to enjoy an evening of cropping with some of the other ladies on this hop 1800 miles from home.  I worked on my project while I was with them.  I hope you enjoy it!

In my neck of the woods kids go to their friends houses and "Boo" them by ringing the door bell and running after leaving a bag of candy.  I thought I would dress that idea up a bit. I used the Close to My Heart Art Philosophy cart to make the door hanger and the little note envelope.  I used a few cirle punches to make the hole for the hanger a little larger and inside the envelope. I used My Minds Eye paper reinforced by another sheet of cardstock.  I used the My Pink Stamper halloween set for the "Boo!" And, I used my first ever border punch....Martha Stewart graveyard (I'm sure she has a fancier name for it).

I also made a little Hello Kitty Birthday card using the Hello Kitty Cartridge, DCWV paper and some crinkle ribbon I made.

Thank you for stopping by!  How about a little Blog Candy??? You know you want some...

Please leave with your favorite Halloween or B-day treat and become a follower to enter....Please comment by Tuesday, November 1st and I'll draw on Wednesday, November 2nd.

I thought since I love grab bags SO much and can never pass them up....how fun at Halloween to do a secret grab bag full of crafty goodness....It will be lots and lots of fun!

Now on to the next hopper....Ruthie
